Search & Rescue
Search and rescue is an operation which its provision is mandatory for member states according to conventions of IMO and all vessels trading in international waters. Every vessel in high seas when receiving distress signal of a floating object is legally and morally obliged to provide assistance to the personnel of vessel in distress. The duty lies with port authorities in coastal waters. If port facilities are not adequate for the task, then vessels available at nearest location can respond by request of port authorities. “Sea port line is capable of offering search & rescue services to vessels in distress according to IMO convention and international rules.”
